Pioneer Bank in historic Webster Groves built a new branch which was bordered by an annoying blank wall. They asked us to soften and expand the space with some kind of park scene. This is based on a real park, flanked with whimsical architecture. This picture is from the dedication.
Over the years, Barnes Hospital in St. Louis commissioned us for an assortment of projects. Some were on temporary construction walls, some were to acknowledge the good works of the staff.
For Mental Illness Awareness Week, we created a design for a billboard that employees and staff at Barnes could paint on the ground…they did and LOVED IT!
Billboard panels completed after being painted by staff and employees of Barnes Hospital, before installation.
Here is the reassembled billboard, lit up at night along one of the three major highways that pass through St. Louis…it was well received.
Laumeier Sculpture Park comprises 96 acres of open and wooded land, and is the site of numerous contemporary sculptures, most permanent, some temporary.
For their 15th Anniversary celebration they asked us to create some type of interactive piece. We built a stack of 30 cardboard boxes, and painted a different sculpture from the park on three sides, and a whimsical birthday cake on the fourth side. They were in a huge pile at the party and attendees would attempt to put the puzzle back together…it wasn't as easy as you’d think.

On one occasion we were asked to paint another artist’s work in his style. There were five large canvas’s painted in a WPOA style, like from the 1930’s.
It was very challenging as we also had to texturize the canvas before applying the paint, which of course made painting harder. All that said, they turned out great, both the artist and client were thrilled…us too.
Acrylic on brick and cement, multiple buildings over a ten year period
Willert Home Products is a consumer products company with an extensive campus in the city of St. Louis. Though the buildings are used for manufacturing and storage, and offices, the owner takes great pride in his properties, and is a great corporate neighbor.
As such, he commissioned us in 1996 to paint his Luna Moth logo on the building on the left in the picture. The design we presented him with was way beyond what he imagined and inspired him to continue commissioning works for six other outdoor walls, as well as two interior walls.
They all have themes of tropical flora and fauna. He further embellished the properties with beautiful plantings and stone sculptures from Asia. He does this all because he wants his place to look nice!
In 2017 the owner rehired us to restore all of the murals due to water damage and fading. We will finish in 2020.
